Chief Instructor - Carlos Cummings

Carlos's martial arts journey started in 1992 at the age of sixteen in the Japanese style of Judo. For the next three years Carlos trained and competed in many tournaments. He received his black belt in Judo in 1995 when he was 19 years old.

In 1996 at the age of 20 Carlos met his wife Eureka and Master Mani Javaheri. Sansei Mani taught Carlos many martial arts styles such as

     • Kuk-sul-kido
     • Top Karate Full Contact
     • Akijiujitsu
     • Judo

for next five years years Carlos trained under Sansei Mani. In 2001 Carlos and his wife started traveling. The first place his travels took him was to Ocala fl, where he trained with Master Marc Sanchez in Judo and in Brazilian Jiu-jitsus. Carlos also traveled to Birmingham, AL where he was first introduced to Sambo grappling and studied with Sambo coach Chris Mayger and Ian Melacheck of Germany. Carlos took the transition into Sambo very well with his judo background. While traveling Carlos would find himself home for short spells and would continue his training with Sansei Mani and finally obtain a black belt under the Boxfighting organization in 2004.

Since Carlos has been back in Florida he has opened his own school and worked in conjunction with a few of the local martial arts schools in the Panama City area since April of 2005. Carlos's school is currently with Master Richard Higgins at the American Martial Arts Academy located in Panama City Beach, FL.

Carlos is also a part of the American Sambo Association and Senior Chief of the Boxfighting USA Association.

Carlos also trains a small group of fighters who have an interest in competition. His fighters fight under the team name "Team Relentless". Grappling Record:
     • 30 Submission grappling tournaments
     • 2001- Birmingham judo champion heavyweight
     • 2007 February Aaron Hensley second place runner-up

Carlos also does work in hand-to-hand combative training for the military police and special force units.
